Politics and Personality

The Political Compass   (click on title to go to website)

The website provided me with six pages of questions that I answered as best I could...even though  I felt obligated internally to debate with many of the choices and questions....
I am going to be honest and state that yes, I had to search up some meanings - I mean I honestly do not know everything, so this is of course valid. The site has aided me by discovering my political position - a libertarian leftist .There was a statement on the site that I agree with, and that is, "Gandhi, believing in the supreme value of each individual, is a liberal leftist," and yes, I do believe that every individual should and has extraordinary value in which we should all claim. I agree with the fact that it is essential that we all have some kind of voice in this world that must be heard and taken into account. Also, I am not as shocked with my result because
1) I took the test.
2) And I suppose I am a liberal-minded person.
All in all, the test was an interesting, weird-worded test that actually help expand my knowledge on political and economic standards and vocabulary.

Political Typology  (click on title to go to website)

The website frightened me when I discovered that their were only two answer choices - a 50/50, with extremes on both ends; however, I was able to answer most questions without debating my thoughts for more than a couple of minutes.  My results, again, were not shocking - I am  New Generation Left, a democratic view.  The site states, "Generally young, well-educated and financially comfortable...very liberal attitudes on many  issues, including homosexuality, abortion, the environment and foreign policy." However, I took the test again today and I received  'Young Outsiders' in which I feel I can also stand for as it says, "This relatively young, largely independent group holds a mix of conservative and liberal view...in their strong support for the environment," because I do support the importance of protecting the the beautiful environment that surrounds us, and I do at times hold viewpoints for both parties...but I feel that most do around my age, as evidence of my classmates and the title itself, 'Young Outsiders' or 'New Generation Left.'

I Side With   (click on title to go to website)

The questions on this website are questions that I have encountered and recognized more frequently than the questions on the other two websites. Also, it provided me with more freedom to my answers, in which I absolutely loved; however, it may have affected my results greatly due to most of my answers not always following an automatic yes or no. Out of the 2016 election nominees, I side more with Jill Stein, of whom is a part of the Green Party, following with Hillary Clinton close behind. In a scale of all the nominees from 2008 and 2016, it seems that I side with Bernie Sanders the most as shown in the images below. My results did not shock me for the reason that it closely matches my previous results in the other tests. Additionally, the graphic of the United States depict that not many support the beliefs that I hold, but if they do, it is mostly on the coast of California and tiny spots in the states of Wisconsin, Connecticut and Maine.

Summary/Reflection Overall

In conclusion, my results were kind of foreseen, they all related to one another, and I can identify some of my charisma with the results of the tests.  Basically, I am leaning more to a democratic,New Left point of view. This makes sense because trying new experiences, to me, is very important in order to grow, attain new knowledge and fully comprehend how something may work. You never know until you really try, right? There are cases were you can, for the most part, predict the outcomes of new ideas, but we really do not know if we never experience it - I am not suggesting that we should always experience everything at reach because this would just lead to horrific and negative issues.
